Hi - I was hoping you could provide more details about the current (covid) Fiber installation process. I included below the information that I received in the recent construction update, which raised some additional questions:
1) Does this mean that you are installing external/outside ONT's and just running CAT6 connection into interior? If so, is there now a power outlet requirement for the exterior of the residence?
2) if the ONT is still installed inside the residence, does that mean the I will have to feed fiber into the ONT? I watched Sonic installer do this at my in-laws house, and it seemed really fiddly to get done correctly with a good connection, i.e. he failed 4 times and kept restripping the fiber to put a new connector on.
3) if fiber is being fed into the interior for me to connect to the ONT, does that mean the hole in my exterior wall now needs to be bigger so it can fit both the fiber cable and end connector, i.e. the technicial puts the connector onto the fiber outside then feeds it through hole (big enough to accommodate connector and fiber) for me to attach to ONT?
Sorry for detail questions, just trying to figure out how the Self-Install kit and Participation Install will work, and what requirements exist for an easy, quick install?

Deemed an essential business, Sonic is busy as ever engineering and constructing new fiber builds and installing new members. As you are waiting for the next phase of your fiber build, here are four new contactless installation procedures we are implementing to do our part to reduce COVID-19 spread:
1. Self-Install: Self-installation kits will be provided with everything members need to get up and running.
2. Sanitation: Your installers will wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
3. Social Distancing: Our installers practice social distancing, per the CDC.
4. Participation Install: Our installers complete as much of the installation as possible outside your homes and guide members to completion inside your homes.
