Same story. I live 2 blocks from one of the Mission's 2 BART stations. Paid $70 / month for the last few years for 14 down, 1 up *at best*. Friends just down the street get fiber, but not possible at my much more central address.
Just canceled and switched to competitor (small primate, gray matter). Highly recommend.

With you. One off from 19th and Capp in the mission, if a 19th street address, fiber install is no problem. Crazy, as there is a central office at the end of Capp Street!!! Long suffering customer, multiple units in this building are sonic customers, no dice.

And reading the permits from SF via http://bsm.sfdpw.org/reports/public/permitsearch.aspx

It is clear there are no open permits in SF, no pending permits, no hope. I describe the internet situation (with a no comcast rule) to friends elsewhere and they cannot believe that this is SF, close to the center of FANG. Better connectivity in Flatbush, NY. Better connectivity in Kansas City. Etc. Too small for webpass but looking hard at (small primate, gray matter) or even SFLan node.
