Connecting to NVR with Sonic Internet

Hey all -
Now that I have some extra time on hand, I made a jump from Comcast to Sonic fusion internet. My laview nvr lv-n9808c8e, was setup to sonic and my attempts to connect to the laview nvr wired via usb-c/vga on my macbook pro has failed. I was thinking about connecting to this wirelessly but after many attempts trying to figure out how to connect to it failed.
Does anyone know how I can determine the ip/port of the nvr and also how I can port forward it for remote viewing ? I am currently using Sonic's SmartRG SR516ac.
