Brentwood Internet slow - Service light on Modem is on

Probably a simple question, but internet has been really slow here. I can't figure out why. I've been through every tech document but there is nothing. I did notice the Service light was on the modem so I did do a power off/on reboot. Keeps coming on. Anyone have any suggestions?
