Eero Pro setup

I went ahead and got an Eero Pro with the two APs at a Christmas sale.

Setup following instructions and seems to be working well. I put in my old SSID and password, and everything seems to be still connecting seamlessly.

But I'm wondering how it works with my router? My main Eero is sitting next to the router, plugged in. Are both the router and Eero broadcasting wifi? Should i turn off wifi from the router? Any other configurations i should update?

Hey Bryan,

If you haven't changed the configuration on your router, then you're going to have both WiFi networks broadcasting at the same time which can lead to speed drops in the future. You'll want to log into your old router and disable WiFi, so that the Eero is the only router broadcasting a WiFi signal. If you need help disabling the WiFi, just give us a call at (707)-522-1000 between 8am and 10pm.
