Neighbor with u-verse got phone line restrung

Hi,
I'm happy right now with Fusion. Noticed however our neighbor recently ordered u-verse with AT&T, and when the guys came out they ended up restringing the phone line from the pole to the house box. They said it was an old line from the 1940s. I'm guessing they did this because it will help reduce noise on the line with u-verse. Is there any way to get AT&T to do the same for a sonic customer, who may also have an old line?

AT&T did this for me when I got Fusion installed. I ordered the bonded service and there weren't enough pairs coming to my house. So, maybe temporarily upgrade to bonded, or temporarily add U-Verse as a second line?

Well, I have fusion bonded already so am not able to try that.

No, unless the wiring can be demonstrated to be bad, AT&T wouldn't run a new one.

Sonic customer for several years. Every time I try to upgrade customer support tells me they can't support higher speed. Tonight I have a 90 kBbs with a modem you supplied me a short time ago. Down from 120 last night. It used to be much better.
My next door neighbor has had Uverse with a rock solid 1500kBps connection for more than six months. I know because if I want any speed, he let's me log on to his wireless. His DSL line runs across my yard to connect, so it isn't a distance issue. They restrung his line and upgraded wiring as needed.
My bottom line question is: Can Sonic provide me with a similar connection or not? I love your support people, but in the end, it's about bandwidth. Pleasant people and 90 kBps isn't going to do it. ATT tells your people there isn't a problem; your people have me disconnect everything and go through diagnostics, then come to the conclusion I must just be too far away from the CO.
I'd hate to drop Sonic now, but haven't been offered a reasonable alternative.

Dan,
The part that makes me think something is amiss is that you said you were getting higher speeds last night, and in the past. That implies that your site can achieve higher speeds, but we likely have a problem with wiring, modem, filters, etc.
Please phone support for assistance. They can dispatch, provide replacement equipment, etc.
