I've got AT&T out in front of my house pulling fiber into the wiring closet in the street. I assume that at some point in the near future I will see Sonic offering an upgrade from my current DSL to FTTH over AT&T's lines. How long does that typically take?

It varies, but from what I've seen with family members, it tends to be on the order of 1-3 months.

AT&T upgraded my neighborhood node to an XBOX/PFP a year ago and pulled fiber from it past my house 6 months ago, however they still have not made fiber services available. Every tech i've spoken to has given the 1-3 month estimate from the time the fiber is installed but clearly they have no idea when it will be finished. YMMV.

Well, they've just been splicing more fiber on the lines they installed 18 months ago (2 years after the XBOX/PFP went in) -- perhaps it's about to get real!
