Special settings required to get your Sonic DSL working with a Netgear DGN3500 Modem/Router:
- Connect directly to your router using an ethernet cable
- Visit the admin page at http://192.168.0.1. The default username is 'admin' and default password is 'password'
- If necessary, set up your static IP address/netmask/gateway and the name servers in 'Basic Settings'
- Click the 'ADSL Setup' link in the left sidebar
- Confirm or change to the following settings:
- Multiplexing Method: LLC-Based
- VPI: 0
- VCI: 35
- Return to 'Basic Settings' and click 'Test'. You may need to enable popups for this page, as it will open a new window.
- After a minute or two you should see the Netgear website in the popup window. Voila! Your setup is complete.
- Well, almost complete. Go to 'Set Password' in the left sidebar and change that default password to something secure. Now your setup is complete.
