Hi there,

I am a current Sonic user. I was wondering what options I have for increasing my download speeds. My household has been increasing our internet usage (lots of streaming) so we need something faster.

I read somewhere that Sonic was offering Fiber internet to the Sunset District of San Francisco. I live in the Inner Sunset, down around 40th Avenue.. so I have a feeling my area is not covered.. but I want to ask just to make sure.

I think my other option is to add a second line. If I do this, how much would this cost me per month? Also, will it come with a second phone line as well?

You can check your house wiring. Putting the DSL filter at the main entry box, and making a home run to your modem, can help.
Check this chart to see how you're doing:

Unfortunately the real answer is to have a shorter line length to your central office. And sonic.net can't force AT&T to allow that. http://corp.sonic.net/ceo/2011/09/02/am ... d-duopoly/

You can buy various speedup software for your PC, but mostly those suck. It seems to be a domain dominated by scammers.
