Sad Sonic customer here.

First, performance issues.
Call support. Get pitched for renting new modem.
Look at forums to find out all the scoop on the rental modem:
Dane: All the other guys do it.

Tonight, call to get service. 45 minute wait. Get recording of Dane, telling me my call is important to him, blah, blah, blah.

I think Sonic is going to crumble under its own weight. I will be sad.

Sorry to hear that the automated callback system failed to reach you. It has generally been a very reliable system, and I've seen some very good feedback from customers about the ability to wait without staying on the line when our hold times spike.

We only had seven techs available to work in the call center last night, which resulted in very long hold times, peaking at fifty minutes between 9pm and 10pm. We are hiring as rapidly as we can, so if you know anyone interested in a job, please do let them know: http://sonic.net/jobs/tech.shtml
