I currently have ATT DSL and PHONE service, plan to switch to Sonic. I wonder if the speed will improve between 4 to 6 mbps ? i' m 9200 feet away from CO. My dsl line with ATT only go up to 3.0 mbp. ATT doesn't support 6.0 mbps in my area. Another question is what is the end up monthly price i have to pay for Sonic services. I paid $58.04 to ATT every
month without any caller id or call waiting and long distance.

Every line is different, so predicting the final, stable speed isn't something we can really do until it's actually up and running, but to give you an idea of some reasonable expectations:

The median speed at 9000 feet is about 4.5mbps
2/3rds of customers at 9000 feet get over 3mbps
2/3rds of customers at 9000 get under 6mbps

We can probably get you faster speeds. Probably.

I'm also curious about expected speed. I'm in Oakland and about 8,000 ft. I currently am a customer of comcast and have their "Blast" package @ 20mbs. How can I found out what my speed is with blast and compare to Sonic?
Sonic sales dept. did inform me that at 17,000 ft I'm out of range. Any info on finding my current speed with Blast would be great. Also, I'm not at all computer adept. The simpler the language the better. Thanks.

Again, every line is different, but the median speed at 8,000 feet is about 6mbps. Half our customers get better speed, half go slower.

2/3rds of customers at 8,000 feet get over 3.75mbps
2/3rds of customers at 8,000 feet get under 8mbps

How about the expected bandwidth with 11,366 ft from CO in Daly City?
I currently have AT&T 1.5mb and they cannot go faster than that.
And what happens if it turned out to be slower than my previous service after install?
Thanks!

Looks like the average at that distance is a bit over 3Mbps. Here is the chart:
