Sonic support are absolutely fantastic, but they're not setup for success, which must be deeply frustrating for them, and it's certainly not a good customer experience when you jump on a call and they have to profusely apologize for not being able to effectively troubleshoot.

Something is definitely not right with the IPv6 address allocations in Oakland (v4 is obviously fine or there would be a lot more complaints!!).

Every time I try to configure IPv6 I only get a link-local address:

This is being generated by my router (Firewalla) as expected, but there's never any allocation from Sonic.
Logging into the Adtran directly shows IPv6 as being down:

The routing table on the Adtran is also showing nothing - which may be expected for a passthrough configuration:

Any folks on the technical support side that could help investigate / troubleshoot and resolve would be super appreciated.

lol, support suggested I post here to see if there's anybody at Sonic able to help! Would really love to get this up and running.

Are you at a location where IPv6 has been enabled? Not all Sonic service areas had it enabled yet.

According to support: yes, native ipv6 via prefix delegation should be available.

Since the Adtran is listing an IPv6 Status of Service Down, it seems like the problem is there. If support didn't have you do either of these already, maybe try rebooting the Adtran to see if it picks up an IPv6 address and/or contact support to make sure it has the latest firmware (there have been some recent updates).

Yup, support had me restart the Adtran, and I'm guessing the unannounced network restart yesterday was a remote firmware update. Still nothing.

People on here have posted about failed firmware updates, so it may be worth checking with support to make sure you have the latest and greatest. I was having random connection drops a couple of months ago. When I called support, they caught that I needed a firmware update (or maybe it was a failed update, I can't recall exactly) and applied it while I was on the phone. It's a fairly fast process.

Sorry for wasting your time then.

Logging into the Adtran directly
How do you do this? I didn't realise the Adtran has an accessible web interface.
