I just hung-up from customer service hoping to add a new service at my new home in Sonoma. I am so
disheartened to learn that there is NO Sonic Fiber service in Sonoma (and its a neighbor to your headquarters!).

What's a Sonic Customer to do? I was told I could sign up using AT&T's network for half the speed I now have in San Francisco and at a higher cost. Really? What's my other option? Comcast? Really? I'm not a happy camper.

I currently am a resident of Sonoma and I have been a happy customer with services through sonic since April 2020! Unsure why you were told "no"....

I'm sorry to hear that you can't get our Fiber service where you are moving to it is a hard change to go from Fiber to something not as fast; we hope to expand our footprint in Sonoma, but many things can cause delays. Every re-sold AT&T customer is a vote for fiber in your neighborhood. If you decide to switch to that, you'd still be our customer, and If there is ever an issue with your service, we will work with AT&T on your behalf. You'll also still be under our privacy policies, along with no speed throttling/unexpected price changes.

Take care, and I hope you have a great weekend!

I thought since IP addresses with resold service are under AT&T control, their privacy policy applies. https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r32550731-
But in summary regarding the initial inquiry, IP Broadband is resold AT&T Uverse which we purchase on bulk commercial terms. This gets us some benefits, like no metered usage or overage fees, and no usage based marketing. But it is IP over their network - meaning they, not Sonic, have real control over the privacy components and policies. This means for example that IP addresses allocated will be retained far longer than an IP that comes from Sonic's own DHCP servers.
Has this changed?
